Hosted by

Florence-Darlington Technical College
Agriculture and forestry represent two of the largest industries in the Southeast from both a production and manufacturing standpoint. All time high prices for agricultural commodities has opened up new economic opportunities for rural communities in the region as well as potential new challenges.
New agribusinesses and bioenterprises are appearing all throughout the Southeast related to fuel, fiber, and food production. South Carolina needs to attract these industries to the I-95 Corridor, the breadbasket of the State.
The Summit will highlight:
What changes in agriculture are occurring nationally and globally
What new industries and technologies are on the horizon
Defining South Carolina’s strengths and successes compared to other states
Developing a strategy to actively recruit new industries to the I-95 Coastal Plain.
The Summit will feature renowned speakers from South Carolina and across the US to discuss each of these topics.
